Chief Executive Officer

Donna Hastings serves as Chief Executive Officer for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, NWT & Nunavut (HSFA). An experienced and dedicated leader of both staff and volunteers, she served for five years as HSFA’s Vice President, Health & Research and, most recently, HSFA Executive Vice President. Donna’s background as a paramedic, adult educator, non-profit leader and leadership coach provides a strong platform for her role as CEO.

For more than 20 years Donna has demonstrated exceptional leadership not only with the Heart and Stroke Foundation, but also in her volunteer roles with national and international organizations. She currently serves as Chair of the Editorial Board for International Trauma Life Support, and Vice Chair of the Canadian Learning Trust. Donna also received the 2011 Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Chair Award in recognition of her leadership, commitment and outstanding contributions.
